There are other forums out there, and you're probably wondering just why you should participate in yet another. I'll tell you why. Each online community offers something different. Pern Fandom Forums is dedicated to fandom, to writing, and to role playing. Our ally, Meeting of Minds, is dedicated to Anne McCaffrey, as well. There you will find interesting and spirited discussions of Anne's books and recent news. Between Meeting of Minds and Pern Fandom Forums, we hope to provide you with everything you may wish in an online community dedicated to Anne McCaffrey.
There are more than forums to see, however. Resource sites, such as the Archives of Pern, Sariel's Guide to Pern and The Many Works of Anne McCaffrey, and the Pernese Online are excellent jumping boards into learning more about Anne McCaffrey, her books, and her fandom.
There are a few basic rules for joining Pern Fandom Forums, however. Nasty, but necessary. Since this is a completely fan-run community, there is no 24-hour moderating available. Volunteers all do the job, when and if they have the time. If you find a post offensive, use the 'Report Post to Moderator' options so quick attention is given to the matter. Otherwise, moderation of this board will be largely unseen. So, before you registered, please read the rules and guidelines posted in the News and Announcements forum.
