Erin has two children, three cats, and enough college degrees to share with her entire household. She’s probably the only person you know who has college credits in the study of Star Trek. Erin is a certified teacher but she accidentally got her dream job in technical writing while waiting for her certificate to arrive in the mail.

Erin is a graduate of Viable Paradise and Pitch Wars, both of which she highly recommends. Her first professional fiction publication appeared “in print” when her youngest child was 6 weeks old. She’s still sorry she wasn’t paid in minutes of sleep.

Erin helped to manage the Fairwood Writers Workshop at Norwescon (and at several Westercons) through 2018, and has been an instructor at the MoPOP Write Out of This World spec fic workshop for kids and teens.

As a professional technical writer, Erin writes user interface text, system messaging, conceptual and instructional documentation, API reference documentation, engaging curriculum for administrators and end users, and official Tweets for the largest software company you’ve probably never heard of. Her curriculum has received Excellence Awards and Merit Awards from the Northern California Society for Technical Communication.
