Baby Legwarmers

Common Questions

  1. How do I know if they'll fit my child?

Legwarmers are knitted and are very flexible as far in both width and length. They fit thigh sizes from 6" up to at least 14" and larger. Most legwarmers are 12"-15" in length. Legwarmers listed as "short" are typically 9"-11" in length. If you prefer a shorter length, please let us know.

  2. How are Baby Legwarmers worn?
The "top" cuff should be pulled up above the child's knee, to the mid-to-lower-thigh area. Depending on the child's height, the lower cuff may fit on the ankle or brush the too of the shoe. On a shorter child, extra length may pool around the ankle until the child grows a bit. We do not recommend wearing the bottom cuff around the heel or foot as this can make it easier for the child to lose his or her balance on slippery surfaces.

Legwarmers can be worn under loose pants, shorts, skirts, or dresses, and be worn with or without socks and shoes. You might even put them on your child as the only leg covering, just for warmth or for easy diaper access for diaper changes or during potty training.

  3. How do I wash Baby Legwarmers?
Unless otherwise stated, legwarmers can be machine-washed with like colors, just like your normal socks. As with any all-cotton product, it is best to dry Baby Legwarmers on a low or medium heat setting to avoid shrinkage. They may also be laid flat or hung to dry. We do not recommend hanging bright or dark colors in full sunlight as it's possible that too much sunlight could cause some colors to change or fade.
