About This Site

History

Pernese Online has been around for a long time in many forms. Franz Bruyere started the list, passed it on to Greg McElhatton, then to April Masters, and then to Zara Gonzalez, who first put the listing on the web, then it made it's way down to Allison Berndtson. Allison, however, is currently in college and very busy, so I, Kelli Zielinski, decided to take on the site, with help from Erin Tidwell.

The graphics and some pages for this site were primarily created in Windows XP, using Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, and a Wacom Pentablet. The designs are primarily derived from scans of a dress I own, and various bits and pieces worked their way onto the site.

The site is hosted on a FreeBSD machine running Roxen as the webserver. The database itself is in SQL.

The back end of this site was built by Erin Tidwell- she created the system by which users can add themselves and change their entries. Give Erin a big "yay" because I could not have done this so well without her excellent help and input, as well as her many webpage skills.
