Wavy, dark brown, shoulder length hair that woman ache to run their fingers through [or comb it], dark blue eyes [the dark blue of deep ocean, when he smiles his eyes sparkle. tanned muscular frame, strong rope-burned and calloused ands of a fisherman and sailor. Bright smile and ready wit. Baratt has an easy going personality. A skill taught to him by his harper mother. Very agile, light on his feet, mother taught him dancing and singing [wonderful baritone] and will oblige when asked to sing at gatherings. His shore side love is dancing. He tries to make it to any gather that has good dancing turns. His sea-side love is sailing. . He can be charming and gallant. His ready witticism and turn of phrase enables him to blend into any social environment much to many peoples surprise. He is gallant with the ladies and will stand ready to defend any in need. His combat skills were learned from his father, a journeyman combatant, turned fisherman. However, he prefers to avoid such confrontations if at all possible. He has the tendency to be over impulsive, emotions off the cuff, trusting to instinct, personal experiences and first impressions. This makes him rather unpredictable at times. Most find him a staunch friend and ally and a hard worker. Once his loyalty is gained, he stands by it. A saying his father taught him "Respect is earned, not gained automatically by fancy titles" is a part of his personality even as his mothers teachings on protocol and respectful behavior. He is a complex individual but enjoyable to be around. He prefers wearing, even now at the weyr, the close fit trousers and tunic, designed for fishing, he has a wet weather jacket he wears in cold or wet weather.
