In addition to the Weyr itself, Theran territory encompasses four major Holds and three of the Southern Continent's main crafthalls. With the amount of land available, it is possible that one or two more major Holds might be added in the future, as the existing ones become filled to capacity.
Theran Weyr is located on the Southern Continent, in the Two-Faced Mountain discovered by Jaxom in The White Dragon. It is surrounded by rich, fertile meadows and forests, and irrigated by several rivers.
In this timeline, the AIVAS computer was discovered, but it could not be made to function. Over the Ninth Interval, it was abandoned by all but the Smith craft, which has a small crafthall at Landing.
